Abia Gov Suspends Chief Of Staff After Being Seen In Viral Video Spraying Cash On Popular Clergyman, Odumeje IndaboskiOkezie Ikpeazu, governor of Abia state, has suspended Anthony Agbazuere, his chief of staff (CoS).

In a short statement on Sunday, Chris Ezem, secretary to the state government, announced that the CoS has been suspended immediately.

He said;

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere.

Ezem further stated that the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Alozie Odoemelam, will assume the Chief of Staff position until further notice.

Though no reason was stated for the suspension, many Nigerians had earlier in the day called on Abia state government to sanction Agbazuere for spraying money on a controversial Onitsha-based clergyman in a viral video.

In the video shared on Twitter, Agbazuere is seen spraying naira notes on the dancing cleric named Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere better known as Odumeje the ‘Indaboski’.

The date the video was shot was yet unknown but it appears the event took place in Agbazuere’s office.

Following widespread circulation of the video, many Nigerians slammed the Governor’s aide for allegedly wasting tax payers’ money on frivolities and demanded his sack.
