A soldier has been spotted in a video flogging a lady allegedly over indecent dressing in Beere community of Ibadan, Oyo state over the weekend.
There was also a video of the same soldier identified by his name tag as ‘O. Adesina’ cutting the hair of some of passers-by after allegedly harassing and extorting them.
An eyewitness alleged that residents of the area now live in fear following the “extreme actions” of the Operation Burst soldiers in the state.
On October 20, Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde deployed soldiers of Operation Burst to various hotspots in the metropolis, to address unrest by enforcing curfew in some parts of the state and restore normalcy.
Thugs and hoodlums took advantage of #EndSARS protest in the state to perpetuate uncivil acts, harassing citizens as well as destroying public and private properties.
However, some residents are now complaining about the actions of the soldiers, especially in places where there is no curfew.
