#BlackTuesday: ‘I Am Heartbroken’- Beyonce, Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, Nicki Minaj Condemn Killing Of End SARS Protesters At Lekki Toll GateBeyonce has finally come out to publicly lend her voice to the #EndSARS campaign, condemning the shooting of peaceful protesters at Lekki toll gate on Tuesday, October 20.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the award-winning singer, who has been silent on the issue, said she is heartbroken to see the senseless brutality taking place in Nigeria.

Beyonce added that she has been working with youth organizations to support those protesting for change.

She stated;

I am heartbroken to see the senseless brutality taking place in nigeria. There has to be an end to sars. We have been working on partnerships with youth organizations to support those protesting for change.

Rihanna during the heat of the moment on Tuesday night also reached out to Nigerians, applauding them for their strength and courage during the trying times.

In a tweet on her official Twitter page, the singer stated;

I can’t bare to see this torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect nations across our planet! It’s such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by!

My heart is broken for Nigeria man!! It is unbearable to watch! I’m so proud of your strength and not letting up on the fight for what’s right!

Also reacting, model and actress, Naomi Campbell called on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop killing “bright and promising future of Nigeria”.

In an Instagram post, she expressed;

Our youths and young generation are our leaders of the future. Show the world who are watching…Be the head of state that sets an example! Stop police brutality, stop anti-robbery squad now. End SARS now.

 

Nicki Minaj also took to her Twitter page to lend her voice to the #EndSARS campaign, saying;

Standing with & praying for the brave young people of Nigeria who are on the front lines of this senseless violence. Your voice is being heard.
