Breaking: NCDC Confirms 454 New Coronavirus Cases, 268 Recoveries

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 454 new cases of coronavirus and 268 recoveries on Friday night.

According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

On Thursday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 27,000 mark having 27,110 cases with 10,801 discharged patients and 616 causalities.

With the new toll, there are now 27,564 total cases, 11,069 recoveries and 628 death cases across the country.

In addition, as at July 2nd, total samples tested so far are 144,833, according to NCDC’s situation report.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government has approved seven private laboratories as COVID-19 testing centres.

Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on Friday during a briefing in Ikeja, the state capital.

According to the governor, the private laboratories were selected through a rigorous accreditation process.

The private laboratories include Total Medical Services, SynLab, 54 Gene, Medbury Medical Services, Biologix Medical Services, O2 Medical Services, and Clina Lancent Laboratories.
