Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The acting Chairman of the party, Mai Mala Buni, who is also the Governor of Yobe State, disclosed this to Channels Television on Friday, after he and Dogara met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the villa.

Dogara, according to the reports, will address the public later regarding the latest development.

The former Speaker who was an APC member had defected to the PDP during the last general elections.

Dogara left the APC for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party along with the then Senate President, Bukola Saraki ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The former Speaker did not talk to the media when requested by State House correspondents, but Buni confirmed that he has become a member of the APC.
