August Alsina Defines Relationship With Jada Pinkett Smith On New Song Titled ‘Entanglements’
Singer August Alsina has teamed up with Rick Ross on a new single titled “entanglements.”
The R&B singer made the announcement via his Instagram page on Saturday, sharing a clip of some cast from American Dad TV series dancing to a snippet of the new track.
The song title alludes the term Jada Pinkett Smith used to describe her now-confirmed romantic relationship with the singer during a special episode Red Table Talk show on July 10.
The actress said; “I got into an entanglement with August”.
The actress and host of the show said this following Alsina’s revelation that he once had a sexually intimate relationship with Jada after getting ‘blessing’ from her actor husband, Will Smith.
In the hook of the song, Alsina sang “The definition of entanglement is when you tangle in the sheets”.
The song involves several shots fired at his old love flame Pinkett Smith like;
That ain’t my girl, but I got the key to the crib and to the car……You left your man just to f— with me and break his heart reside on the rocky anthem.
Before the song was released, the singer in an interview with Vulture publication said;
If you look up the definition of ‘entanglement,’ it is a complex and difficult relationship. It was exactly that. I think it is just the language that probably stuck out to people.
But I definitely have to agree with it being an entanglement. It definitely was something complicated, a complicated dynamic.
However, many fans believe Alsina continues to address the situation at interviews for publicity and to promote his album titled “The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy” which he recently released.
Many Twitter users have reacted to the new song, which contains explicit lyrics narrating Alsina’s sexual intimate times with Jada.
Some have described the content of the song as an ‘embarrassment’ and ‘insult’ to the actress’ husband, Will Smith.
