Respected labour leader and activist, Ayodele Akele, has died on Tuesday morning.
This was confirmed by a close associate of the former Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Lagos State wing.
Akele reportedly died from a yet to be disclosed illness.
The late Akele was a former Secretary-General of the National Conscience Party founded by late legal luminary, Gani Fawehinmi.
He was the governorship candidate of National Conscience Party (NCP) in Lagos state in the 2015 election.
Akele was also a former Chairman of the Council of Industrial Unions.
