Breaking: NCDC Confirms 675 New Coronavirus Cases, 288 In Lagos

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 675 new cases of coronavirus and 230 recoveries on Monday night.

According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

It would be recalled that on Sunday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 20,000 mark having 20,244 cases with 6879 discharged patients and 518 causalities.

With the new toll, there are now 20,919 total cases, 7109 recoveries and 525 death cases across the country.

Also, total samples tested nationwide have moved from 113,575 to 115,760 as at June 20th, according to NCDC’s situation report.

Meanwhile, 93 persons from Abia State have been discharged from the state isolation centre in Amachara Specialist, Umuahia after recovering from COVID-19.

This was made known by the Abia state Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu.

Chief Kalu explained that more patients who have been successfully treated of the virus would be discharged this week if their expected negative results from the NCDC laboratory are out.
