Breaking: NCDC Confirms 594 New Coronavirus Cases, 159 In Lagos

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 594 new cases of coronavirus and 209 recoveries on Thursday night.

According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

It would be recalled that on Wednesday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 22,000 mark having 20,020 cases with 7613 discharged patients and 542 causalities.

With the new toll, there are now 22,614 total cases, 7,822 recoveries and 549 death cases across the country.

Also, total samples tested nationwide have moved from 120,108 to 122,155 as at June 24th, according to NCDC’s situation report.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMOH) has announced the discharge of 36 coronavirus patients from its isolation facilities after full recovery.

The Governor announced this on its official Twitter page on Sunday, stating that the discharged patients include 11 females and 25 males.

He added that 9 were discharged from Onikan, Gbagada (8), Agidingbi (7), Eti-Osa (4) and Lekki Isolation Centres (8).

There are now a total of 1364 successfully managed cases in Lagos.
