s former manager, Joy Tongo has released an official statement detailing happenings prior to parting ways with the dancehall singer.

This follows the rapper’s revelation in a recent Instagram live interview. She attributed her sudden disappearance from the music scene to her fued with Jude Okoye, owner of record label she was signed to, Northside Music Group.

The singer alleged that after quitting the label due to the discord, she lost rights to the usage of her legal name ‘Cynthia Morgan’ which is also her stage name, based on the contract signed while with the label.

The rapper also made other accusations which caused an outrage on social media platforms on May 25, and sparked sympathy from her fans, who rallied round her with the mission to help her out of her predicament.

However, in recent development, the singer’s former manager, Joy Tongo has denied many of the allegations made by Cynthia Morgan who now goes by the name ‘Madrina.’

It would be recalled that Joy Tongo had earlier made comments about the accusations on social media, calling out the singer for seeking public sympathy with her story.

According to the released statement, Joy said she got the singer signed to Jude Okoye’s Northside Music Group.

Recalling some challenges herself and Jude had with Cynthia Morgan, Tongo disclosed that the dancehall star began performing at shows outside of management’s awareness and approval, after her breakthrough song ‘I’m taken.’

She also mentioned that she parted ways with Cynthia Morgan after the rapper began making plans to exit the Jude’s label before the end of her contract and became ‘unmanageable.’

In her statement, Joy Tongo corroborated Jude Okoye‘s claim of paying Cynthia Morgan’s rent and also giving her money to buy a land for her mother in Benin.

She revealed that she drafted the contract Cynthia Morgan signed and not Jude Okoye, adding that the contract does not contain any clause that permits Jude Okoye or Northside Music to assume ownership of the singer’s legal name, royalties and social media accounts, as alleged.
