Just In: Two COVID-19 Patients Discharged In Kwara

Two coronavirus patients undergoing treatment at the Kwara State Isolation Centre have been discharged after testing negative twice. 

Kwara Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Abdulrazaq, announced this on Thursday in an official tweet.

He tweeted;

I am happy to announce to you all that we just discharged two index cases of #COVID19 in Kwara State after testing negative twice.

Special Assistant to the governor on New Media, Fafoluyi Olayinka, also confirmed the discharged cases in a statement on Thursday.

Olayinka disclosed that the state has procured more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health workers to aid the fight against the spread of Coronavirus in Kwara.

He said;

The welfare of health workers who are in the frontline of the fight against the spread of the deadly virus is of importance to the state government, more reason why the government had to fast track the procurement of more protective gears to guarantee the safety of health workers.

Meanwhile, Osun State on Wednesday also discharged six Coronavirus patients were discharged the state’s isolation centre after making full recovery.

Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in a series of tweet broke the news on Wednesday, saying the discharged cases were among the 127 Ivory Coast returnees that came into the state in March.
