Just In: Nigeria Records 2 New Deaths, 20 New Coronavirus Cases

Nigeria has on Friday night recorded twenty new cases of Coronavirus, as total cases in the country increases to 210. 

This was reported in a tweet by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), stating that 11 cases were confirmed in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, Edo, 2 in Osun and Ondo recording its first Coronavirus case.

The tweet from NCDC also revealed that there are two new deaths recorded in Lagos and Edo state. 

Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 11 in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, 3 in Edo, 2 in Osun & 1 in Ondo.

Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State. As at 10:30 pm 3rd April there are 210 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.

Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, had earlier confirmed the index case of coronavirus in the state.

The Governor in a tweet on Friday evening revealed that the index case is a military officer who returned from India and have been in isolation since he returned.

MDB had earlier reported that Six new cases of Coronavirus were reported in Osun State, Nigeria on Friday morning.

The new cases earlier reported by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), stated that 190 confirmed cases of Coronavirus were reported in Nigeria as of Friday morning.

However, with 20 fresh cases and 2 deaths on reported on Friday night, there are a total of 210 cases in Nigeria, 25 recovered persons and four deaths so far.  

In other news, Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday announced that four more patients have fully recovered and have been discharged from Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in the state.
