Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo Tests Negative For Coronavirus

Yemi Osinbajo, vice-president, who has been in self-isolation, has tested negative for coronavirus (COVID-19).

This follows MDB’s report on March 23 stating that Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president tested positive for the disease.

MDB also reported on March 24 that Bala Mohammed, Bauchi governor, is among top officials confirmed to have tested positive for the virus.

Of the 46 confirmed cases, Lagos has 30, the federal capital territory (FCT) eight and Ogun three. Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Edo and Bauchi have one case each.

Nigeria’s first death from the virus is Suleiman Achimugu, a former managing director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), who died on Monday after returning from the United Kingdom.
