Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Visits Lagos Explosion Site, Sets Up N2bn Relief Fund For Victims

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has set up a N2 billion relief fund to alleviate losses suffered by victims of the explosion that rocked the Abule-Ado-Festac area of the state on March 15.

The governor stated this on March 16 when he led a high-powered delegation to assess the site of the explosion, including his deputy, Dr. Femi Hamzat.

The incident which happened at Soba community in Abule Ado area led to the loss of over 15 lives and damaged properties.

He also commiserated with those who lost their loved ones and those who sustained various degrees of injuries and those who had their properties damaged.

Sanwo-Olu, however, on behalf of the state government, announced the donation of an N250 million as a capital base for the relief fund.
