Corona Virus: Abuja Records One New Case, Lagos Three, Oyo One, Bringing Total Number To 27

One new case of the COVID19 has been confirmed in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This was confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, March 22. 

According to the NCDC’s report via Twitter, Nigeria as at 11:00am on March 22, now has 27 confirmed cases of COVID19 .

While the 27th case has been confirmed, the NCDC also noted that two persons of the number recorded have discharged.

As at the time of the report, there have been no death recorded with regards to the virus.

Meanwhile, Lagos has also confirmed three new cases while Oyo state also confirmed a new case.

This was announced by NCDC via its Twitter page, stating that;

The commissioner for health in Lagos state, Professor Akin Abayomi via his Twitter handle confirmed that one of the 3 new patients is a 51year old Briton who arrived Nigeria on March 8 via BA75 flight.

The 2nd case is a Nigerian on March 14 connecting flight KL0582 London -Amsterdam / KL0587 Amsterdam – Lagos.

He added that the 3rd is a 65year old US citizen who arrived in Lagos about 6 weeks ago.
