Popular Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)  Zone 2 command in Lagos, Dolapo Badmus has advised couples not to hastily report the case of a missing person when they find it difficult to reach their partners on Valentine’s Day.

The police officer took to her Twitter page on February 13 to offer her advice to lovebirds as they join the rest of the world to celebrate Valentine.

According to her, people should avoid hastily reporting case of missing person should their loved ones fail to pick calls or reply WhatsApp messages, noting that they can do so after 24 to 48 hours.

Her tweet reads;

Tomorrow 14th, phones maybe unreachable, WhatsApp messages may not be answered! All efforts may seem proved abortive in reaching your partner! Dear people, there might be no course for alarm! kindly wait for 24 to 48hours before reporting case of a missing person. Happy val y’all.” 

Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. It originated as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus.

It is also widely recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions of the world.
