Guaranty Trust Bank, GTBank had on Monday, 20 January 2020 announced the extension of its banking hours till 6 pm due series of banking issues faced by customers.
The extension, the bank said, was to make up for the inconveniences experienced on Monday by its numerous customers and to further attend to customers’ needs.
In a statement posted on its official Twitter account, GTBank had apologized for inconveniences saying;
We sincerely apologize for every inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of the service disruption on our banking channels.
We are here to help. For further enquiries or complaints, kindly visit our Help Centre at https://t.co/vMeWy3ftuR

The bank also sent out this statement via text messages and other digital means to their customers which reads;

Many customers took their frustration to Twitter yesterday with many users who had complains about difficulty in receiving cash, opening the Gtb app, checking their account balance, making transfers and other banking activities.
