Following heightened fears and possible attack on non-indigenes in Lagos, All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, 53, met with the leadership of Igbos at different fora to assure them of safety in the state.

Sanwo-Olu, in company of his running-mate, Dr. Femi Hamzat, led a delegation to Computer Village, Ikeja, which is highly dominated by Igbo traders, and reassured them of safety, and the commitment of his Government to ensure equal treatment for all due to the ugly incident that occurred last Saturday at Ago Palace Way.

Sanwo-Olu also promised to protect their interest if elected into office on March 9, 2019, governorship poll. He used the opportunity to canvass for their (Igbo) votes and support, reassuring them his resolve to run an inclusive administration, if elected.

Prince Nwankeze, leader of Ndigbo Computer Village traders, while responding, promised to ensure Ndigbo voted for Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates.

“We also urge you to fulfill your promise to us and protect our interest in the state,” he said.
