The Super Falcons of Nigeria thrashed the Shepolopolo of Zambia 4-0 in their second Group B game in the ongoing 2018 Africa Women Cup Of Nations, AWCON.

Nigeria bounced back from the 0-1 defeat they suffered in the hands of South Africa in their opening group game at the Africa Women Cup Of Nations by thrashing Zambia 4-0 in what was a dominant performance by the Nigerian team.

Desire Oparanozie gave the defending champions a lead three minutes before first-half when she fired into an open net after receiving a square pass from Francisca Ordega in the box.

Washington Spirit forward Ordega added the second in 69th minutes with a powerful shot as Zambia struggling to keep pace with the fluidity of the Nigerians in attack but the Falcons missed chances too in the second half, with Asisat Oshoala failing to convert her many chances in front of goal.

Fifteen minutes to the end of the game substitute Rasheedat Ajibade killed off any hope of a late fightback from Zambia with the third goal for the Nigerian team with FC Robo forward fired in a stunning shot from outside the box to score in the 73rd minute, before another substitute Amarachi Okonkwo sealed the win in added time to compounded Shepolopolo woes.

The win restores hope for Super Falcons as they face Equatorial Guinea in their last match, with the hope of securing a semifinal ticket in Ghana
