An All Progressives Congress Governorship aspirant in Lagos, Dr. Femi Hamzat, has today officialy withdrawn from the race.
Hamzat who made his withdrawal known at a press conference in Lagos on Saturday said he took the decision to support the ambition of Tinubu’s aspirant, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He also encouraged his supporters to cast their votes for Sanwo-Olu during the party’s primary tomorrow, adding that he can vouch for Sanwo-Olu’s integrity and intelligence.
Sanwo-Olu, who was also at the event, would tomorrow contest the party’s governorship ticket with the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Recall that for sometime now, there has been a lot drama within the APC since it emerged that party leaders have backed Sanwo-olu, with the present Governor Ambode allegedly running pillar to post to win back their support.
