Four men have been arrested in Rivers State for allegedly defiling an eight year old hawker.
The 8-year-old girl who hawks, was defiled by 4 men in in Ogoloma, Okirika, Rivers State.
The men, aged between 45 and 68 years, allegedly took turns to defile the girl on several occasions. The victim lives with her grandmother who usually sends her to hawk.
According to reports, the policemen attached to the Eleme Police Area Command have succeeded in arresting two of the suspects, namely Jehebamiema Nelson and Dere Somiari, while others are still at large.
The men were arrested on the 14th of June, 2018 for defiling a girl and taking turn to rape her consecutively.
This has been going on for a while as the men raped the girl one after the other on several occasions. The girl lives with her grandmother who usually sends her to hawk and also stays in the same compound with the girl’s father and her step mother.
The suspects are currently in police net pending time they will be charged to court.
