Relaying his thoughts on preparation for the 2019 general election by Nigerians, Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo said that there is no future in watch Big Brother Naija all day.

According to Governor Dankwambo, it will be much more fruitful to spend 24 hours on a queue to get PVC, than to watch Big Brother Naija. His tweet read;

On the other hand, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has advised valid electorate on how to retrieve their Permanent Voters Card, PVC.

The electoral umpire said that those who have misplaced their PVC should visit the INEC ofice in their LGA to get registered.

The Commission, in a statement on its official Twitter handle said, ”If you have not registered before, if you have lost or damaged PVC, If you have relocated from where you registered before.

”Please visit the INEC office in your LGA to get registered, to replace your PVC & transfer your registration to your new location. Monday – Friday, 9am – 3pm daily.”

This new announcement came after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed the dates for the Presidential and National Assembly elections, which will hold in 2019.

INEC chairman, Professor Yakubu Mahmood, made this announcement, while meeting with members of the Commission and all Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC), at the INEC Headquarters’ Conference Hall, Abuja.

According to him, the Presidential and National Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday, 16th February, 2019.

The event was live-tweeted on INEC’s official Twitter handle.

“Above all the 2019 #NigeriaDecidesGeneral Elections is exactly 505 days away from today.

“The Gov. State Assembly and Federal Capital Territory(FCT) Area Council elections are fixed for Saturday 2nd March 2019″ he said.
