Bombshell! Jussie Smollet AKA Jamal Lyons Confirms Exit From Fox’s TV Show EMPIRE

If you watched last night’s episode of “Empire” then you know there was a huge bombshell dropped by the writers.

On episode 17 of “Empire titled “Rise by Sin”, fan favourite Jamal Lyon was shot by Freda Gathers who attempted to shoot Lucious at the ASAs after she discovered he killed her father, Frank Gathers, but Jamal took the bullet for him.

Fans of “Empire” have been going nuts asking if Jamal is dead and he took to Twitter to clear up the air.

Jussie took to twitter to confirm his death as well as his exit from the show to pursue other project.

We will miss him and his amazing voice.
