EFCC Declares Wife Of GEJ's Godson Wanted For Over N1billion Fraud

– Jennifer Wife of ex President Jonathan’s godson George Turnah has been declared wanted
– Anti-graft agency EFCC says she commited fraud to the tune of over N1billion
– EFCC says she laundered money for her husband
– The commision declared her wanted after she refused to honour their invitation on several occasions

Jennifer Turnah, 30, the wife of George Turnah, the godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan has been declared wanted by EFCC, over an alleged N1 billion fraud.
In a statement, the EFCC claimed that Jennifer helped her husband in laundering the money using shell accounts. The commission said Jennifer was a signatory to many of the accounts and had continued to ignore invitations.

“The public is hereby notified that Jennifer Timinipre Turnah whose photograph appears below, is wanted by the EFCC in a case of criminal conspiracy, money laundering and stealing to the tune of N1bn.

The suspect, who is the wife of George Turnah, a former special assistant to an ex-Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, is a signatory to some of the companies her husband allegedly used to launder monies meant for youth development.

Bank accounts of the shell companies – Celtic Pride Global Services Limited, West Oak Multi Concepts Limited, Eliben Educational Centre Limited, Cinco Ranch Hotels and Apartments Nigeria Limited and Dubai Stores and Supermarket Nigeria Limited – were used to launder the stolen funds.

The suspect has refused to honour repeated invitations from the commission and is currently on the run,” the statement read in part.

Recall that the EFCC has seized duplexes said to be worth between N70m and N100m, owned by George Turnah in Abuja. The property is the latest seizure of a string of other properties owned by Turnah, who is standing trial for an alleged N3 billion fraud.

The commission had frozen about seven bank accounts through which the suspect Turnah, allegedly received billions of naira.
