Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala has become the latest big name recruit to the Chinese League with Dalian Quanjian announcing her signing on Saturday.

Oshoala, 22, had earlier denied links to the club only for it to emerge that she later agreed a deal with the club.

Following the move, the reigning African Women Player of the Year follows in the footsteps of the Nigerian stars including John Obi Mikel, Chinedu Obasi, Odion Ighalo and John Owoeri who penned lucrative deals in the money-spinning Chinese League in January.

The former Liverpool and Arsenal ladies attacker resumed training with the Beijing-based club who are managed by former PSG coach, Farid Benstiti, Vanguard writes.

Oshoala, who was top scorer as the Super Falcons won a record-extending eighth African Women Cup of Nations last year, did not have the best of times at Arsenal Ladies.

Her decision to quit the London-based outfit after just one season to earn a lot more money in China hasn’t come as a surprise.

She came under flak severally for her laid-back approach, particularly as she generally struggled in front of goal.

Oshoala is a two-time African Footballer of the Year winner and also won the maiden edition of the BBC Female best footballer in 2015.
