NYSC Has Not Been Scrapped-Presidency Clears The Air On Rumours

The federal government has denied scrapping the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

There were reports that the scheme, which was established since 1975 by then Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd), has been scrapped by President Muhammadu Buhari, alongside post-UMTE circulated over the weekend .

However, the presidency has now denied the rumours, describing it as unfounded and legally illogical.
